As part of a special celebration of Latinx Authors and Hispanic Heritage Month, the Union Market District welcomes Gabriela Alemán, one of Ecuador’s most distinctive writers and possibly one of the best contemporary writers in the Spanish language to present her new book, Poso Wells.
Poso Wells, her first novel to appear in English, is a noir feminist eco-thriller, full of events so absurd they’re utterly realistic.
Special guests include the Attaché of Cultural Affairs of the Embassy of Ecuador, Marco Benítez.
The Latinx Author Series thanks Grand Cata, D.C.’s celebrated Latin Wine Shop, for providing complimentary Latin American wine tastings after the reading.
