De Novo Gallery is excited to return to Union Market, where it had its gallery in 2019, to present its second Window Project. This exhibition features paintings and sculptures by New York-based artist Marc Ferraro, on view starting July 12, 2025, at 450 Penn Street NE, Washington, DC, in Union Market District. It showcases Ferraro’s exploration of gestural mark-making and material transformation through a 24/7 street-facing window display, making contemporary art accessible to all at any hour. All works are available for purchase. Please reach out to jamie@denovo-projects.com with any inquiries or requests for private appointments.

What is the Window Project?
Our Window Project initiative is focused on transforming underutilized storefronts throughout Washington DC into curated exhibition spaces, with all available works on display in the window. This initiative brings art beyond traditional gallery walls, creating unexpected encounters with contemporary art throughout the city and seamlessly integrating it into everyday environments. The Window Project extends De Novo Gallery’s mission to foster meaningful connections between artists and diverse audiences. We actively collaborate with artists, property owners, developers, and businesses to celebrate art’s power to inspire, engage, and transform communities.
