Enjoy handcrafted moments at home this holiday season with Nathan Frost, award-winning barista, roaster, and Co-Owner of Apiary Coffee Co. Nathan will lead students on a guided cupping to learn how to taste, recognize differences in processing, and build a sensory vocabulary. Next, students will work at their station to learn the art and science of pour-over brewing, exploring under, over, and ideal extractions to understand what makes the most flavorful cup of coffee and and achieve individual preferences. The session continues with instruction on cold brew and Japanese-inspired milk brew, tasting side by side to understand clarity, character, and creative applications. Light bites will be provided during class and each participant leaves with a curated kit including Nathan’s favorite dripper and filters, Apiary beans, and recipe book to carry the ritual home.
