Voted one of Food Network’s “America’s 26 Best Food Trucks”, Fava Pot serves the best of healthy, home-style Egyptian cuisine.
When Founder Dina Daniel left Egypt in 2004, she kept her beloved homeland and its distinctive home cooking in her heart. Back then you could not find a restaurant in DC that offered Egyptian food and thus, Fava Pot was born.
Fava Pot sources high-quality ingredients to cook authentic meals, serving locally sourced foods such as chicken and game hens that are antibiotic-free and grass-fed. Fava Pot’s signature falafel is made entirely from scratch – no powders or premade dough. And those famed fava beans? They are slow-cooked for 12 hours in special spices.
Fava Pot’s motto has been and always will be to “eat healthy for a good cause” – and through every purchase you make, Fava Pot gives back to Egyptian orphans in need.
