ArtTepuy
This month ArtTepuy celebrates the beautiful work of the Warao women who through the use of the Moriche “The Tree of Life” or in Spanish, “Arbol de la Vida” create beautiful woven pieces to support their families. These indigenous women are prime examples of dedication and resilience; they procure the families living, teach values and traditions to their children, care for the preservation of the environment and work hard to sustain their indigenous heritage and culture.
ArtTepuy’s mission is to provide support and financial independence for the Warao women by selling their unique art. The Warao women need us more than ever, as the Venezuelan Waraos live in a forced migration situation moving farther and farther away from their original habitat. ArtTepuy will offer a 10% discount on all Warao baskets.
