Join Hi-Lawn for a weekend-long Mardi Gras celebration from February 24-27. Hosted on the rooftop at Union Market, the four-day festivities features iconic New Orleans-inspired food and cocktail specials (think: po’boys, beignets, muffulettas, Sazeracs and Hurricanes), plus live jazz from Blues Styles Brass Band and DJ sets throughout the weekend.
Sip on speciality New Orleans-style cocktails like the Sazerac, made with rye, absinthe, peychaud’s, sugar and the Hurricane, made with Don Q Cristal and Reserva 7, lime, orange, passionfruit, simple, grenadine. Hi-Lawn’s regular drink menu, including wine and zero-proof beverages, will also be available.
Guests can expect iconic New Orleans fare, such as shrimp po’boys, muffulettas (a NOLA-invented sandwich made with salami, mortadella, giardiniera, olive tapenade and provolone), and beignet fritters available a la carte.
Local Blues Styles Brass Band will take you on a trip to the bayou, playing live jazz on Saturday, February 26 from 2-4 pm, while DJ Free Candy will follow, spinning tunes from 6-8 pm. And on Sunday, February 27, local DJs Steve Lemz and Keenan Orr will play festive music from 1-4 pm.
