Students will learn the fundamentals of wood fire grilling — one of the oldest ways of cooking! The class curriculum is taught by Pit Master Chef Steven Harris and includes selecting wood, building and managing a fire, and grilling techniques; which salt to use; and how to use a rub. We will also discuss the numerous advantages of wood fire grilling and where you can set up a grill from the beach, National Park, or your backyard. The unique flavors that come from a wood fire are unparalleled and will impress and delight your summer BBQ guests. Students will leave with BBQ jerk chicken (or jack fruit) and veggies.
