Experience Washington’s Latino food scene with the National Museum of the American Latino’s Sobremesa con NMAL After Hour’s event at La Cosecha Market. The museum launches its new program series, Nuestra Cocina, during Hispanic Heritage Month with food, drinks, dance, cooking demonstrations, and a conversation with culinary entrepreneurs. This noche de cultura, evening program begins at 7 p.m. with an onstage conversation featuring Daniella Senior of Serenata, Iris Veronica Jimenez of La Casita Pupeseria, Giuseppe Lanzone of Peruvian Brothers, and Chef Elias Serda of Amparo Fondita. Serda will also offer free cooking demonstrations; space for the demonstrations is limited, and guests are encouraged to sign up at the registration table upon arrival. ADOBO’s DJ Pedro Night will provide music, and participating restaurants will offer specialty menu items for purchase.
This event is free to the public with no tickets required. Registration for culinary demonstrations will be provided on-site, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
