COME CELEBRATE WOMEN IN CULINARY LEADERSHIP
Now in its fourth year, Sunday Supper at Union Market, a collaboration among the James Beard Foundation and EDENS, celebrates the people and ingredients behind good food. As with any true family meal, diners share a communal table with the chefs, artisans and thought leaders who make the evening possible. Proceeds benefit The James Beard Foundation’s Women in Culinary Leadership Program that inspires and supports good food.
This year the Supper will celebrate female chefs and feature four sit down courses, each prepared by a different pair of renowned chefs. The dessert course will be served at different stations throughout the space, allowing the attendees to stand up and mingle to conclude the evening.
Women in Culinary Leadership is an educational program focused on mentoring and training women aspiring to careers in the culinary industry. Offered under the auspices of the James Beard Foundation, WICL gives women with a minimum of five years of professional hospitality or culinary experience the chance to work with top industry leaders and build in-depth skills in the kitchen, in restaurant management, or in both areas. Candidates will learn firsthand how to break through the culinary world’s “glass ceiling.”
