DC Dosa was born out of the original and authentic South Indian dosa and chutney recipes handed down by Priya Ammu’s mother-in-law. Dosas are rice and lentil-based crepes stuffed with a variety of fillings. They are an immensely popular Indian street food staple. Dosas are vegan and gluten free. While seemingly simple to prepare, they require technique, timing, and a well-developed palate to be done right.
In 2012, Ammu was named winner of DC StartUp Kitchen, a contest designed to support budding local food entrepreneurs sponsored by NURISH and Think Local First DC.
Open Market Hours Saturdays in October.

‘Chups are fruit-based condiments on a mission to add variety to the traditional tomato-dominated ketchup market. Each ‘Chups variety is made with whole fruits, a blend of vinegar and spices, and all-natural sweeteners. ‘Chups bring the same savory, tangy zip as tomato ketchup but with a whole new range of applications and pairings.
Creators Matt and Kori Wallace launched ‘Chups in early 2014 after running a successful Kickstarter campaign. Their ketchups are now carried in several DMV markets as well as featured on the menu at José Andrés’ new Tyson’s Corner restaurant, America Eats Tavern. Currently producing out of local food incubator Union Kitchen, the Wallaces continue to grow the brand locally, while plotting an extensive #KetchupRevolution set to sweep across the land.
