Arepa Zone, an award winning Venezuelan food truck, opens its first brick-and-mortar location at Union Market. Offering their signature arepa sandwiches – a grilled corn patty filled with meats, cheeses and more. Market-goers can choose from over 13 trademark combinations, including the Sifrina (chicken salad, avocado, shredded cheddar cheese), Canosa (shredded beef and shredded queso fresco) and Dominó (black beans and shredded queso fresco).

Back by popular demand, Buffalo & Bergen’s Suburbia—a summertime airstream bar, will be set up in front of the market all summer. Suburbia serves creative cocktails, frozen drinks, wine and good old fashioned beers.
Teaism has expanded their collection of Asian-inspired teahouses to Union Market! Their tea shops are stocked with an abundance of tea accessories and exhibitions of work by local potters and artists.
The tea seller is constantly updating their inventory of over three dozen teas that represent the best of what is available and a belief that selecting, serving, and selling tea is art and love not just commerce.

Puddin’ owner, Toyin Ali strives to recreate that feeling in every bite! She sources her ingredients from local vendors to bring DC wholesome Southern comfort foods and goes above and beyond to create the perfect meal.
Cucina Al Volo is a new pasta manufacturing company that Matteo Catalani started with the intent of touching people with his passion and his food, all made with local and organic ingredients from the farmers’ markets in the DC area.
Matteo is from Tuscany but his cooking style has a lot of influence from Bologna as well, where his grandmother is from.
Our distribution is limited at the Saturday 14th and U Farmers’ Market and Sunday Bloomingdale Farmers’ Market for now, but we will distribute to the Union Kitchen corner store (on 3rd and F St NE) and to a couple of Italian stores as soon as possible.

Chef Seng Luangrath, of Thip Khao and Bangkok Golden, and Chef Deth Khaiaphone, the former chef de cuisine at Doi Moi, bring inspired noodles dishes from their neighboring countries in Southeast Asia to Union Market with the Khao Poon pop-up.
