Opening in winter, The District Fishwife is a new, locally-owned family business bringing fresh sustainable seafood to Northeast DC at Union Market. Offering a variety of local favorites such as Rockfish, crabs, and oysters, as well as sustainably caught and sourced Albacore Tuna, wild Salmon, and Pacific Halibut. There will be new things to try, like Barramundi and fresh Sardines, and a selection of prepared foods, such as classic fish and chips and lightly fried calamari. Our mission is to provide exceptionally fresh seafood and help our customers understand how to make sustainable choices, while guiding them with suggestions and recipes for preparation at home.
